Karen has been working with La Pointe Wealth Advisors for over 23 years and brings many talents to the team. Prior to joining our group, she has had extensive experience in the care of others, having served as a Critical Care Nurse and a Mother to nine. She graduated from Azusa Pacific University with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1981 and achieved her board certification in Critical Nursing (C.C.R.N.) in 1983. She has spent the last 30 years involved in many areas of Nursing ranging from ICU/Trauma, Nurse Preceptor, Education and Case Management. After years of Team leading and caring for her patients’ medical needs, she has transitioned into caring for the financial needs of others. Her goal is to help new and existing families define and succeed in their financial planning goals and dreams.
Karen holds Series 6, and 63 securities registrations through LPL Financial, her AIF® designation, as well as her California Life and Health license. In addition to her operational responsibilities; her goal is to ensure that our clients experience the highest quality of service in each aspect of their wealth management relationship with our firm.
In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, enjoying her nine children & their spouses, her 5 grandchildren, and serving others through Church and Philanthropic work. Adhering to the mantra of “Invest in Others”, Karen is privileged to hold a current position on the Board of Governors at Temecula Valley Hospital. Her role is to oversee the safety & quality of services that are provided at the hospital and is honored to represent Temecula Valley Hospital to the community it serves. Karen serves on the Advisory Board of the “S.A.F.E. Family Justice Center that provides support to women and children of domestic abuse, whose mission is to provide comprehensive services that help protect families, seek justice, and promote SAFE futures. She is also a founding board member of the charitable organization Charity for Charity that benefits Temecula Valley residents, holding an advisory role & is a member of their “Wish Brigade.” She devotes her time & energies to “Michelle’s Place” which is a full-service cancer resource center providing no-cost resources to families and individuals dealing with cancer. No One should face cancer alone. Her love of others is further demonstrated by her attention & outreach to the non-profit “Project Touch,” which serves our communities’ homeless and “The Rose Again Foundation,” that nurtures foster children & their families and kids that have timed out of the foster system., and to “Oak Grove” which is a nonprofit Residential, Education and Treatment Center for at-risk and special needs youth. Oak Grove’s mission is to rebuild the lives of at-risk children and their families through educating, healing, restoring relationships, building character and instilling hope.
